New Patients - Ramke Chiropractic
What to Expect On Your First Visit
Dr. Ramke knows many of the new patients he sees are not only new to him, but also new to chiropractic. If this is your first exposure to chiropractic you may have questions about both your specific health issues and about the science of chiropractic. Dr. Ramke and his staff will do everything they can to make your first visit as comfortable, informative, and successful as possible.
Here are the four steps of your first visit experience:
1. Complete Forms
After calling the office and making the appointment, you will be asked to fill out the new patient forms. You can print these forms now, complete them, and bring them with you or they will be presented to you when you arrive at the office. It is important that we know as much as we can about your condition and your history with this condition as well as your general health history, so please fill these out as completely as you can. Click here to go to the forms page.
2. Consultation
Next, you will meet with Dr. Ramke for a consultation. He will review the information you have provided and ask questions pertaining to your specific problem as well as your overall health. Dr. Ramke will explain chiropractic and how it may help your condition. If the doctor feels that chiropractic cannot help your condition, he will tell you that as well.
3. Examination
An examination will be performed to determine the problem and extent of involvement. This is a physical examination and will include tests of movement, observing the way injured areas react to touch or stress, and other orthopedic tests. If other testing procedures are necessary, such as laboratory or diagnostic imaging, they will be explained and scheduled at that time.
4. Treatment
If appropriate, treatment can begin at this time. With your consent, Dr. Ramke will explain the procedures of the Activator Methods instrument adjusting technique and give you your first treatment, also called the “adjustment.”
We appreciate you choosing us for your chiropractic care and we do not take the responsibility lightly. We will do our best to answer all your questions and concerns, and to make your visit as stress free as possible.
